Gerardus zu Süberen was born on or a few days before 26 September 1666 in Vollerbenhof Gösling, Pye, Wallenhorst, Iburg, Osnabrück, Heiliges Römisches Reich, son of Gößlich zu Sübern (~1634– ) and Anna Gertrudis (zu Pye) zu Sübern (~1631–~1708).[1] He was baptised on 26 September 1666 in the catholic church St. Alexander in Wallenhorst.[1] His godfather was Gerd von Süberen, and his baptismal witnesses were Johan Siebenbürgen and Greta zu Suberen.[1]
